Video Pool 2 image

VIDEO POOL is a open studio, work-in-progress event, which is part of an ongoing collaboration with Mary-Jo Gilligan.

We are working together on ‘A Dancer Drowned’, a project about movement and immersion in an interconnected world. As part of our process, we share videos with each other on these themes and at VIDEO POOL we invite others to join us for an informal screening and conversation.

VIDEO POOL #2 will take place this Sunday, 20th March at 7:30pm in Ormond Studios. If you’d like to come, send an email to

‘2016…’ Exhibition in Ormond Studios

My new work Declaration of the Dead Republic is currently exhibited in 2016…, a group show in Ormond Studios.

Member of Ormond Studios

In January I joined Ormond Studios as a member. Ormond is a co-operatively run artist-led space in Dublin city centre. Apart from the members’ studios, it’s also an occasional exhibition space and frequent host to artist talks and presentations.

October will be fun…

What am I looking forward to?

The Twisted Pepper, Bodytonic’s new venue, is opening at the start of the month. They’re taking over Traffic on Middle Abbey Street, which is just a hop, skip and a jump from where I live – happy days!

The Dublin Theatre Festival is on from the 25 September – 12 October.

DEAF is on from 23-26 October. The overall line-up looks great and they’re letting me take part in a group exhibition at the Joinery. I’ll post up more about that soon…

Stop Complaining

“If you’ve got something to complain about, then you’ve got something to do.”

So stop complaining about how Dublin is so rat racey and commercialised and materialistic and boring and not cool and over priced and there’s nothing to do and nowhere to go and…

Do something.

I like the spirit of this:

It’s a trailer for a documentary about DIY culture in Dublin, made by a group of young people with no previous film experience. Exactly.
